How did the government react after the tsunami?
After the tsunami, the Japan Meteorological Agency was told that they underestimated the Japan tsunami. The Japan Meteorological Agency thought that the tsunami should be around 3 meters high, which can be reflected by the sea wall of the Japan’s coastline defenses. But because the Japan Meteorological Agency had underestimated the height of the tsunami many people did not move to the high venues, and this costs over 49% of the people who didn’t heed the warning in Tohoku got struck by the Tsunami. The Japan self-defense forces were sent to the disaster zone, to rescue and to search the missing citizens. The Japan Urban search and rescue was also returned from the Christchurch earthquake and started to rescue people in the disaster zone.
